Most of the buildings in the area are tarnished, blackened, and stained after years of use and repairs. A series of gaudy clubs, bars, and docks, where sailors and soiled doves gather. It is here, amidst ships and fishing boats, that most of the newcomers to this strange, island nation, will arrive.

The name itself, 'Kita', means 'North', reflecting upon it's far northern location of Tokyo. Surrounded by rivers and constant traffic along it's busy roads, there also happens to be a large number of trees in the area.

Shinjuku is a major commercial and administrative center, housing the busiest train station in the world and various government buildings. It is filled with department stores, brothels, and the like. However, around the luxury, most of the buildings are slums or decrepit structures.

One of the largest District areas, Minato hosts the embassies of many countries and nations. Home to the headquarters of various companies, it is near the Airport and has great big clusters of houses and skyscrapers, housing a very large population.

A busy District known for it's population density, the name 'Shibuya' is also used to refer to the central business district of Shibuya District, which surrounds one of the busiest railway stations in the world. Shibuya is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area.

Perhaps the most prestigious and aristocratic area in Tokyo, Chiyoda consists of the Palace and a surrounding radius of about 1 kilometer. It inherited the name, literally meaning "field of a thousand generations," from Chiyoda Castle.

The countryside and outskirts of Tokyo are surrounded by high mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. Nature here is in abundance, and this is one of the few places where the havoc wrecking the world doesn't affect it. All that will change.
